black and purple nails

I had white tips with a silver glitter polish over the white for the past couple of days and wanted to try black and purple. I'm happy with the finished look even though i didn't clean up the sides. I'm lazy and I usually clean them up I the shower or under warm-hot water.

The black polish i got from Raley's, it's wet n' wild fast dry 229c ebony hates chris
The purple is from Walgreen's, sinful colors 841 daddy's girl (its like a light transparent sparkly purple)
Sally Hansen hard as nails from Walmart in natural pink tint
My top coat is from The Color Workshop (around Christmas time there are usually like kits or packages of make up or nail polish and that is where i got my topcoat from)
I used a make up sponge and sponged on two coats of the black to I guess a third of all my nails. Use as many coats as you need to get the color opaque.

Paint the purple color over the black. I decided to start the purple a little above where the black starts but it's completely up to you.

I put the natural pink tint to the bare parts of my nails. I didn't want to add it over my entire nail or use it as a base coat which I should have thinking about it now.

Topcoat to finish off your nails and you're done!

I don't have the best lighting so I'm sorry about the bad pictures.
